FEBRUARY 26–28 | THE EASTWOOD EVENT CENTER | NILES, OHIO

The Company 12 Recruitment Combine & Convention is designed to give dancers meaningful opportunities to train, connect, and be seen by collegiate coaches and dance teams in a focused, supportive environment. Throughout the weekend, dancers will have multiple opportunities to meet and interact with coaches and teams, ask questions, learn about different programs, and begin building genuine recruiting relationships.

TRAINING + COACH ACCESS

Dancers will train with a variety of collegiate coaches and staff throughout the weekend, giving them exposure to different teaching styles, choreography, and team expectations.

Classes are intentionally structured in 30- and 45-minute formats to give dancers the opportunity to demonstrate one of the most important skills in collegiate dance — the ability to learn quickly, make corrections, adapt, and perform confidently.

Training will include:

  • Technique and turns

  • Across-the-floor combinations

  • Sideline and field-style material

  • Contemporary

  • Hip hop

  • 3–4 different gameday routines

Most styles will include 1–2 different classes, allowing dancers to work with multiple instructors while showcasing versatility, performance quality, and adaptability.

VIP EXPERIENCE

  • VIP Registration includes:

  • Solo Competition

  • VIP gift bag

  • VIP T-shirt

  • Additional coach access time

Solos are approximately 1:00–2:30 minutes and are judged by current collegiate coaches using a dance-team-style scoresheet. The VIP experience provides additional opportunities for dancers to showcase themselves individually and connect with participating programs.

RECRUITING

Registered dancers receive free access to a recruiting information link where they can submit their highlight reel and résumé, along with a dancer information sheet and space to identify the college programs they are most interested in.

Throughout the event, dancers will have several dedicated opportunities to connect directly with coaches and teams, allowing the recruiting process to feel more personal and meaningful.

PARENT WORKSHOP

Company 12 offers a Parent College Dance Recruiting Workshop to help families better understand the recruiting process, timelines, communication, team expectations, and how to best support their dancer throughout the journey.

DANCER-ONLY WORKSHOP

Dancers will also participate in a staff-and-dancer-only workshop designed to provide a candid look into collegiate dance team life.

This session offers real insight into practices, academics, time commitments, team culture, expectations, challenges, and what it is truly like to be part of a college dance program.

ABOUT COMPANY 12

Company 12 Pom & Dance was founded in 2022 by Chrissy Farr with a vision to make the college dance recruiting process more personal, transparent, and accessible for dancers and their families.

Chrissy brings experience from multiple sides of the collegiate dance world — as a former collegiate head dance team coach, studio owner, instructor, event director, and parent who has personally experienced the recruiting process with her own dancer. That perspective helped shape Company 12 into more than a convention or recruiting event.

Company 12 was created to help bridge the gap between studio training and collegiate dance, giving dancers opportunities to understand what college teams are truly looking for while building relationships with current coaches, athletes, and programs.

Since its beginning, Company 12 has helped dancers connect with and continue their journeys with more than 40 different collegiate dance programs across the country.

OUR GOAL

Our goal is not simply to help dancers get noticed.

We want dancers to become better prepared, more confident, more versatile, and more informed throughout the recruiting process.

Through our combines, conventions, consultations, evaluations, weekly training, and recruiting resources, Company 12 focuses on helping dancers:

  • Understand the differences between collegiate programs and team styles

  • Learn what coaches are looking for beyond individual skills

  • Develop the ability to pick up choreography quickly and make immediate corrections

  • Train in the styles most commonly expected at the collegiate level

  • Build genuine relationships with coaches and programs

  • Navigate recruiting with a realistic understanding of timelines and expectations

  • Find a college and dance program that is truly the right fit for them

We also believe parents should understand the process and dancers should have access to honest conversations about what collegiate dance life actually looks like.

At Company 12, recruiting is not about simply being the best dancer in the room. It is about finding the right fit, developing the complete dancer, and giving each athlete the tools and opportunities to confidently take the next step.

Real dancers. Real coaches. Real feedback. Real connections.

With Company 12, It’s Personal.
